Provided you dodge the laser and don’t walk into those though, then you’re pretty damn safe against that doing any damage to you, and the effect does time out before you get more lasers to worry about. Standing on that ground does huge damage and is often lethal, so you absolutely must avoid that if you want a chance. These are best dodged by sprinting to the side of them, just make sure you’ll have enough space to dodge the follow-up laser afterwards, as each laser leaves a trail of burning ground as pictured above. This works during his second phase as well, where many of the attacks will come from the two giant flaming snakes surrounding him – they’ll fire large, but fortunately slow-moving lasers shortly after each other, and sweep the arena with them. Yes, if you have the skill for sprinting and firing at the same time, it can be tempting to try to sprint somewhat towards him to continue doing damage, but you’ll often get hit by that, so running to the side or away from him in a diagonal is often better.
